Retro fit headlights
Hey guys,
So a couple of months ago i decided to take on the task of building my own retrofit headlights. The lights themselves cam out great aside from the issue I'm having. My lights work but only on one setting not sure if its high or low. I have h1 projectors and and h1 bulb in them. I also have the appropriate rely harness for it hooked up. My question is why won't the flap inside the projector move. I know the h1 bulbs are the same brightness and offer no high or low features, but the projector has a flap inside that is supposed to moderate high and low but doesn't. Anyone have any ideas?
could it be because i ran the wires that control the highs and lows in between the projector and housing itself? Maybe not enough current getting through or something?

Really simple question, did you connect the solinoid for the bi-zenon to the relay?
And you will know if it's high or low depending on the cut off line or lack of cut off line.

Change the pins so it matches the second picture on that page. Cobalts come stock with 9007 and I'm assume the harness is 9004. Also make sure that the control is wired correctly from the shield to the relay, a pinched wire isn't going to stop it from working, but a broken or reversed polarity will.

Im sorry what do you mean by pins I'm a little bit of a rookie at this if you can't tell by now. You help is really appreciated tho!Everytihng is connected appropreatly because there is only one way to connect it all. And the polarity of what will? Again thanks so much man i really appreciate you sticking with me.

You have to make sure the wire colors on the blue connector match the 9007 picture, if they don't (most come in the 9004 configuration) you have to change the wires around.
For the hi/low shutter it has to be wired correctly to function, DC has a positive side and a negative side if they're not connected correctly (positive to positive and negative to negative) it won't function properly. But I would start with the blue connector.

Not really sure with your harness. My problem was that only my high beams worked on both settings. My fix was the blue connector that plugs into the headlight harness had the two outer wires flipped.

Alright so its all switched around. but still nothing works the company actually sent me a new harness. and i changed the pins but still nothing could this be something to do with my ECU?
