Reverse lights problem

I just noticed my reverse lights just went out a couple of days ago and am wondering if anyone has had the same problem and what they did and how much is costed them.

If your brake lights and running lights still work then I would think the
Switch on the transmission needs to be replaced,On the drivers side of the transmission.

Your reverse light switch is probably broken. Don't know how much the part is, shouldn't be too expensive though.

I had that problem with EVERY vehical I've owned... And it was all the same part...

Backup light switch, aka Reverse/neutral switch depending on transmition.

BUT
First, turn your ignition on, (Do not start) set the parking brake and put the car into reverse. Check for 12 VDC with a meter at the light bulb. If you have 12 volts, it's just your light bulb. If you dont, its your switch.

Or you can just try swaping the bulbs out first, but chances are if its the bulb, only one would be out.
I recently had mine changed a few months ago, the part was just over 20 bux. Install about an hour of labor.
