Roll Pin gone agen!

Well it seems like I happen to have a car with more trans problums then most cobalts put togather.

As some might remember i think i was the first or close to being the first 2006 SS/SC to blow the trans a while back but i later found out it was the roll pin in the linkige.

well its happend agen and agen and agen(sp?)

while cruzin down I-75 friday night i drop down in to 4th to pass a truck, when i pop off the clutch the tach swings over and the cars doesnt go any wear so i start to freek.

i try all the other gears and i can only get 2nd and 4th so i drive the car home and to work and back all ****** weekend with 2nd and 4th due to the lack of a 2nd car.

it was one of the scaryist things i've ever had happen to me while in a car, when all of a sudden you cant get power to the ground.

its in the dealer as of 8am today for the 5TH ROLL PIN!!!!!!!!!!!

isnt that total bull ****!!!!!!!!!

any ideas on what might be causeing it?...any idea on how to stop it from breaking agen?

the dealership wants to drill the part out and put a bolt thro it but they cant unless GM says "OK" to that idea.

I'm pissed! i seem to not have my car for at least a 3-5days a month!!!! for a series of repeting problums.

rant over!...what do ya'll think?

EDIT------------------
in the past i thought it might be caused by the B&M but for the whole 1-2 months i had this roll pin in there i never put the B&M in so its not that.

insteed of them using a "roll pin" tell them to use a "solid pin", that might help insteed of them using a nut & bolt.

the problum i'm runing in to with that idea is the fact that the dealer can only replace it with certon parts so THEY dont void the warrenty.

the servis maniger has called the tech dept of GM to see if he can get it authorized.

i can only hope!

You don't want to go that route man, Once they start screwing with the car like that, you're liable to wind up with more problems, and if you ever try to take it to a different dealership, your warranty will be null and void. Nobody's going to want to work on it after this dealership jimmy rigs your car.

Take it to a different dealership. And request that they either fix it right, replace the whole transmission etc. If it happens again just lemon the damn thing.

5 times is about 4 times too much. I have to wonder if this dealership isn't doing the install wrong, or messed something else up the first time around.

Pull out the Lemon Law on it. If my car had the same problem three time, I'd definately be all over the Lemon Law, but it's always a different ****** problem! I am on the same page with you bro. Good Luck.

Under the Lemon Law they only get 3 attempts to fix the problem. Make 'em buy it back and grab yourself a '07.

Eh, I think it's too late now that he authorized them to do the jimmy rig, and accepted the car. Unless it happens again, but more than likely whatever was causing it to break so often is going to put stress on another part now and he'll have to start all over again.

yea, i just have a feeling that it's more than just the roll pin...something is putting some serious stress on it and causing ti to break. I'd DEFINITLY make them buy it back and put an order in for an '07!

I have yet to see this problem elsewhere so I would assume it's driver error or your car has another problem.

I have missed 3rd hard and havent even bent the linkages or pins.

as far as makeing GM take the car back thats a def possibility BUT i'm going to waite at least a month or so so i can have my plant maniger buddy get me the car in a day or two.

also if there is something else causeing this problum them it'll prob brake the bolt they put in and i'll worry about that problum when it arives.
