Safties on rotors?

Me and my bro are changing my brake pads right now. Wed got everything off and are working on taking off the rotor, but there are 2 metal safety like things holding the rotor on. They spin arround the bolts that hold the tire on and hold the rotor in place.

For those who have replaced there rotors how do these come off, and do they need to go back on? Cause I dont see how we are going to get them off without making them unusable?

Ooooo boy. Use a side cutter to take 'em off. Don't need to be replaced.

Grab them with a pair of side cutters and rip them off. They are only there for when the car ran down the assembly line so the rotors wouldn't fall off. You don't re-use them just trash em!
