SC Oil Eaton M62
Hey guys I have a question in regards to the correct amount of Supercharger oil to put back into my Eaton M62 blower. I have read other post but I'm still not clear on the correct amount.
I recently had my entire SC off for a snout rebuild & needle bearing grease job. After completing the rebuild I put my SC back on. I read that I only needed to put 3.4oz of SC oil back in & I had a 4oz bottle from ZZP. ZZP told me that the oil needs to come up to the bottom of the treads.
Well after putting in the 3.4oz the oil had not yet reached the threads so I put the entire 4oz bottle in & it still didn't reach the threads. I went ahead & picked up yet a 2nd 4oz bottle & put that entire bottle in & the oil still hasn't reached the threads??
Could this be because I had everything apart & I installed new snout bearings so it could be soaking up all of the oil ? We checked everywhere for leaks but didn't find any also with the rig that we used to put the SC oil in I'm sure we lost a little bit of it so in reality we probably have anywhere from 6-7oz in there but again there's no sign of the oil even reaching the bottom of the threads.
Do you guts recommend leaving it how it is ? Or should I pick up a 3rd 4oz bottle & start putting that in until it hopefully reaches the threads ? Or have I put to much in even though it hasn't reached the threads & some may need to be taken out ?
Any advice on this would be great like I said I've read the other threads but no one ever seems to give a clear answer on this one thanks guys

yes. zzp's description is confusing because they say that you need 2 bottles. but they are referring to the grand prix supercharger.
i was skeptical when i only put in 100 ml / 3.4 oz myself, but the supercharger has been fine with that amount after about 40k miles
