So i guess i need a new top end.....

So the other night my car started making a noise in the top end. It kinda sounded like a valve spring to me, it was a fairly loud rattle in the top end of the motor. I took my car to the dealership this morning and apparently a oil passage to the head was parctially blocked. They said you were supposed to have 50 psi oil pressure flowing to the head and mine was only at 21psi. I guess the cam got so hot, that it turned black, scored all the bearings and it blew the head gasket. Now there telling me i need a new head, lifters, bearings, and cam. They told me that the inspector from the extended warrenty company, said that they had three others do the same thing, that the passage was parctially from silicone from the factory. SO... my question is, has anyone else had this problem? Plus my 5th gear syncro and gear need to be replaced. I'm just hoping the extended warrenty company covers all this ****. I've had the car since it was brand new, about 2 1/2 years now. It's completly stock and has about 54,000 miles on it now, i've never had a problem with it before but now I feel like the damn thing is about to fall apart. I take very good care of it and do all the scheduled maintainace, hell the thing gets more attention then most peoples kids. So.....anyone else out there have the same problems??

Pre-2007 models still had a 5yr/60k powertrain warranty - all models have the same 3/36 bumber to bumper. This should be covered unless the dealership tries to claim abuse.

Yea, turns out there going to cover it. Looks like i'm gonna get a new long bock GM motor and there going to replace my 5th gear and syncro. I should have it back by the middle of next week.
