Squeaky HVAC fan?
Does anyone have this issue? For a while, I have had a squeaky HVAC fan. When I turned the heat to level 1, it would produce a significantly audible squeak which went away at higher speeds. Now it is starting to produce an even louder squeak at Level 2.
Has anyone else had this? Do any of you know where the fan is so I can try to take my dash apart and oil it? It may sound stupid, but on an hour commute every morning, that squeak gets really annoying.

its the bearings on the fan. A lot of people of have this problem. In another thread someone said they took the fan out, packed it with grease, and reinstalled it and it went away.

The procedure to remove it requires cutting the plastic that holds the motor in and the the purchase of a service ring to reinstall it because you have cut the plastic.
If its been done under warranty there should be five screws holding the motor in,if not then the dealer I would say never did anything.
(This info is from looking at the procedure I have.)
