SS/SC Won't Start
Haven't tried to jump it or anything, but this pisses me off. I've had it since 11/24/06 (it's a 2006) and it has 4746 miles on it. The car is completely stock. When I went to test drive it (it had 50 miles on it), the car did the same thing and I told the guy. Could the battery be draining tons of power somehow? I don't leave the power accessories (radio, etc.) on at all unless the car is started, so I'm not the reason it's out of juice.
Any ideas?

Yeahh, charged 'er up for a few minutes and she's good again. I'll have to have the dealer check out what you had go wrong when I go in for service next week... Thanks, bud.

Sounds like a ashorted cell inn the battery.
Check the voltage of the battery with the car not running, should be at least 12 volt dc.
If you measure 10 a dead cell for sure.(2 volts per cell)
When the car is running you should read 14 volt dc at least.!
If not you have a altenator problem.

hmm...
You aren't supposed to store vehicles with the battery in... I dunno if starting it for like 15 mins would make a diff or not... might be an alternator issue if the car died when you were driving...

Its a bad battery, the alternator is only supposed to keep the battery charged, not RE-charge a dead or low battery. Do that too many times over taxing the alt like that you can have alternator issues. If you're storing the car, just remove the negitive batt cable.
Most battery problems stem from being on the dealer lot, sit for long times, dont run long when started, dome lights and headlights left on. You end up with a dead battery and collapsed cells, and a battery that wont hold a charge. Then expecing the alternator to do double duty.

so i for sure know its not the battery. i had a spare lying around from my old ride and it was completely charged. disconnected the one in the balt and hooked this one up. same exact deal as other battery. i took a look under the ride tonight and found what looked like one of those magnets that find dropped bolts and such. was connected to the starter. no idea how it got there but it was there. could have something to do with my issue. it it hit the bolt on the starter it could have sparked and messed up my flywheel. sry so long but just what i had found and an idea also. suggestions are VERY welcome. calling the dealer tomorow to pick it up and take it in. also would painting the SC void warrenty??? wasnt taken off.

took in the balt this mornin and found out that i was fine on warrenty. but they do have to put a new sc on it cause the bearings in it blew and caused the SC to seize up. but i am going to pick her up tomorow. so happy im gettin my baby back!!!!
