Steering wheel shaking under braking?????

Like title says however I know most are goin to say warped rotors which I recently had. When the rotors were warped the wheel would shake horribly at 70 and not at all at 40. Within the last 1500 miles I had the rotors turned. Within the last tank of gas or so the shaking has returned however at 70 the brakes are completely smooth when braking from 40 to 25 the wheel shakes. Is there something else other than the rotors that could cause this ? Oh by the way I have a 07 sc/ss

^^^ This, or improper torque on the lugs. Worth breaking out the torque wrench and retorquing them.

Could have warped the rotors again too, going to be easier to do after you remove material by having them turned.....

Get your tires rebalanced. Also make sure they're aired up.

It could also be a problem with road force variation in the tire. Overtorqued lugnuts won't cause a vibration.

This is normal. Same thing happened to me. I'm on my second set of rotors now. When you turn them they warp that much faster. I got about a week between turns on mine.

replace rotors and pads at the same time get wheels balanced and see what happens if it still shakes have your front end inspected and check lug tq specs. I use a tq stick specified for smaller cars like ours so not to over tighten the lugs which can cause warping to the rotor(s) try out what we suggest and report back.

Good luck,

Try pulling the fuse for the abs and see if the shaking goes away.
Just something to try.

No offense, but no. I am a certified mechanic and that won't do anything.

First check tire pressure, if ok then take the wheels off and inspect pads, rotors, and calipers. You could have a fluid leak or air in the system which will cause pulsating peddle and or shaking.

good luck.
