My sunroof makes a very loud popping noise kinda like a gear grinding whenever I am closing it . The service guy says I have to get it checked by the body shop to see if my certified warranty will cover it ,but I just bought the car in august and it came with the 12 month 12,000 mile bumper to bumper and he keeps saying he has never had them warranty a sunroof but should it not be covered? I just had my passenger seatbelt replaced due to the light not going off.

sounds like the gears/track need lube or skip a tooth

I mean i know how to fix it but if my warranty covers it why do it myself i mean its suppose to be bumper to bumper.

Then tell them the sunroof exists between the bumper and the other bumper, so it should be covered?

Body shop? I had issues with mine and dealer fixed it for me

The body at the dealership and yeah he keeps saying he has never seen it covered by warranty i guess ill cause a scene if needed bc if somone bought a brand new ss camaro and the sunroof went out they would fix it instantly
