Supercharger locked up? Not covered by warranty?

Took the 07 SS into the dealer today because the supercharger locked up. This car is bone stock BTW, 62,000 miles. Was told it is not considered part of the drivetrain......it has to be internal engine or transmission. What the effing eff.

Thoughts?

well luckily m62s are pretty cheap. Sucks though, they're really picky with powertrain warranty. Your powertrain warranty is just about up anyways.

First thing you should do is try calling up a few different dealerships, if not call GM customer service.

I agree with TommyP call Chevrolet or GM directly and speak with them about the issue... I had a similar issue where no dealership would fix my fuel pump...even though it went our around 90k and is a common issue and they have recalls on certain vin's of cobalts...mine didn't fall under the recall but I fought til I got something for my bad experience...

Keep fighting

If you haven't already contacted Customer Assistance, I would be happy to follow up with your dealership on this. Please send me a private message with the following information: your name, address and phone, the last 8 digits of your VIN and current mileage, and the name of your dealership.

Regards,
Sarah

I thought powertrain covered internally lubricated parts….like a supercharger, for instance.

What's the manual say? That should solve the mystery of what is covered and what isn't.
