Throttle body wiring problems.

Throttle body wiring problems.
Hey guys,
2006 Cobalt 2.0 SS/SC.
A few weeks after replacing my PCM, the "Reduced Engine Power" issue came back online. So, I pulled out the code reader and it was throwing codes for the TPS (P2135 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A/B Voltage Correlation). I pulled out my throttle body and cleaned it out pretty well. After putting it back on, the car wouldn't start (prior it would start, but just hardly). I took this as a sign that the TPS is gone for good. Bought a brand new throttle body assembly since the TPS is inside the TB.
Hooked up the new TB and I get the same results. But, I noticed two things:
1) The wiring housing on the TB won't go all the way on. Bad connection = no start. There's a good 1/8-1/6 inch gap here.
2) I thought maybe the MAF was disconnected since I had to move around the cold air quite a bit to remove the TB. Upon checking out the MAF, I found a loose wire that I have no clue where it goes. The wire sits down by the headlight/cold air assembly and is in the same wire housing as the headlights. What is this thing!?
I'm about ready to kick this thing to the curb guys. Any and all help is much appreciated.

So I just recently replaced my alternator and my tensioner pulley after the pulley on my alternator decided to literally blow up on me. Well after I put the parts on and everything. I could start the car and it would idle just fine and even run just fine but it would go into engine power reduce mode almost every 5 min. So trying to eliminate everything I can in cleaned the throttle body put it back together and and ran good but still went into engine power reduce. So then I tried to replace the mass airflow sensor witch mind you I have replaced a little over a year ago maybe closer to 2. But after installing the new one now the car will barely stay running and sound like crap and I have no pedal. I cant even move it now. So after that I went and spent 100 dollars on a map sensor that goes onto the SC. Replaced that and same thing.... idk what to do now. Before I could atleast make it to work now I cant even move it. Please if you can help I would really appreciate it thank you very much

Old problem, another solution?
My car is pushing 220k and recently started the reduced engine pwr. The check engine light has been on since I've had the car, my kids all get different cars and it gets handed down to me 😞 So I found bad connections at the power post. At first it was the traction control light and reduced engine, another time it was theft security. This caused me go hunting and found corrosion in the terminal end. Clipped the ends and replaced the terminal on the post. Also traced the wiring that runs through the looms looking for bad grounds, fraying, breaks etc.
I will have to replace the throttle body but I'll try cleaning it and the mass air flow first to see if this any difference. I just got the reduced engine pwr tonight for first time after replacement of the power terminal which makes me think it's not just in the wire this time dammit.
