Ticking Sound

Hey guys I have an 06 G85 ss/sc. When I turn the car off I hear a ticking sound that ticks long enough for me to be able to walk away and still hear it. Today I pulled up to an ATM machine and I hear the ticking as I get money out. Is this normal? I haven't noticed any performance issues, so just making sure.

I saw the post on the TSB timing chain, just making sure this doesn't affect me.

It's just the exhaust. Nothing to worry about. Get an aftermarket exhaust system and it'll go away.

Yeah the SS exhaust ticks a lot more than the 2.2 exhaust... strange.

I think Saunders nailed it , when the cat starts to go it overheats and will change temps really fast causing a ticking . Look at your back bumper and see if there are any silver spec's , if their there , your cat is eating itself.
