timing issue
Before installation, if the exhaust is set at 10 with red link and intake at 2 with blue link would I need to move anything else? I heard something about 12 position before.

There should be 3 timing marks on the chain. 10 o'clock for the exhaust sprocket, 2 o'clock for the intake sprocket, and 5 o'clock for crankshaft sprocket. All 3 marks on the chain should line up with those in there positions.

Yeah the valve springs will hold it sort of close but off a bit, I usually get the gears on the chain in position and rotate the cam until the gear pops on, put a bolt in it and you should be good.

If you are still that confused, pull the front cover and verify that the bottom mark is on. It takes all of 5 minutes to pull the front cover at this point and you can be 100% sure that you are doing it right.
