TPMS reset without keyless fob

My 2008 Cobalt originally had a keyless entry, but I no longer have the fob. I need to reset the TPMS but when I use the procedure for non-keyless entry by using the Info/Reset procedure, the "Tire Relearn" prompt does not appear among the choices. Any ideas how I can access the system without my fob?

Pretty sure you can't without a specialized scanner.

Tire shop can do it for you but it's not cheap.

If it were me, I would look to get a new FOB and get it programmed. Reason being, a dealership will probably charge you $50-100 to get the TPMS system reprogrammed, verse just buying a new FOB and having them program it and then reprogramming TPMS yourself.

Just buy a couple of these and take to dealer to get new key FOB programmed.

That link is for the GM # I pulled off my 09 FOB. Not sure if different for other cars.

Probably cost you a half to an hour of labor. Dealer might even charge you something silly like $10-30 bucks for the FOB programming.

Oh and some dealerships are weird about ownership so don't forget an insurance card or title with your name on it. Ties your name to VIN to show ownership. I usually just bring an insurance card just in case they ask for it.
