Just had a new motor installed and the transmission would go into reverse. It goes forward just fine, just doesn't engage reverse. The first thing I should check tomorrow is the roll pin on the linkages. Could either one have been brittle enough to crack/break during the un/reinstall of the engine/trans? They were trying to engage it by hand, disconnected and from the driver's seat with the shifting cables attached and it wasn't going it. The trans engages first just fine. I'm not sure if they tried 2-5 as well, but they just couldn't turn the linkage to get reverse to engage. I hope I'm using the right terms here, sorry. Any other ideas that I can bring to the table tomorrow would be huge, thank you guys! This the last bump in a long road to get my car back on the road, and I can't wait!
