Trouble reading outside temperature

Hey guys,

So today I installed my UEGO halfway (just hooked up the power) and it's working great. I was driving around and noticed that my information display was showing the outside temperature to be 56. This was definitely wrong, as it was in the 70s today. I thought it might've corrected itself after I left the car off for awhile but it's still reading 56. I tapped into my power line for the boost gauge to get power to the UEGO. I highly doubt this would cause the outside temperature reading to be off but I guess weirder things have happened.

Anyways, does anyone have an idea as to why it would be reading a constant wrong temperature? Thanks for any input.

I'm pretty sure the ground is solid but i'll try it somewhere else. Is there a reason I shouldn't be tapping into the boost power line? both the UEGO and the boost gauge work fine, it's just the external temp. reading that is messed up.

I dont know if it will help with anything but the UEGO is bouncing back and forth between 14.7 and 14.8 which is odd considering I dont have the sensor hooked up yet.

haha yeah i understand that 14.7 is atm, but that still doesn't explain why it would be bouncing back and forth when the sensor isn't hooked up. and you didn't have any problems running it off the RAP fuse?
