Trunk, cluster lights, rear lights

Trunk, cluster lights, rear lights

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

wow what a day.
Anyways, I got in my car last night and turned it on. To find out the cluster lights, the powerwindow door lights, and the HVAC control lights and my rear night time driving lights are all out.
I checked some of the fuses, but I didnt see anything out of the ordinary. Wipers still work, HVAC still works, everything is fine accept the lights.

Then when I was driving home my engine light came on. I havent hooked a computer up, but I thought it was super weird.

So this morning, I decided to disconnect my battery and let the computer to reset and see if that would throw off the CEL. Anyways I accidently closed my trunk and now I can't get it opened! My key doesnt work in the lock, even though I tried to WD 40 the hell out of it. Is there any way I can get in from the inside?

haha any advice would be awesome! Could I get a boost from the front terminal in the engine bay to just power the trunk release? Thanks!

Is it that your battery is dead or is there something else wrong causing the trunk not to open.

You can boost it using the positivr terminal on the fuse box under the hood and clamp the negitive to a good ground in the engine bay.
There is a recommended spot in the manual I seen.
Battery charger should have enough power to open the trunk latch.

Check your I/P ign fuse under the hood 20 amps

Isnt there a release in side the trunk ,if you can crawl through the back seat some how

Dont hook up any power to the battery then to open up the trunk, would defeat the purpose of diong what your doing.

Need to get in the trunk to get through the back seats though right? Isn't the release for the back seats in the trunk? or is there another release inside the car?

that i didnt know. well you could do what i had to do when i locked my keys in the trunk and my button was malfunctioning......it takes a while and its a pain in the ass but it worked....what a friend and i did was remove the little cover behind the rear seats to expose the back speakers.took one of the speakers out, and i stuck my hand through the hole and pulled on the seat release thing and just pulled the back seats down.....took a while but it was all i could do and it worked.so you could try that.

i cant remember exactly how we did it. i just know we did. cuz i just looked at my back seat and remembered there's that part you have to undo with the seats down in order to get it off without screwing stuff up. i just remember removing the headrest and like everything back there and somehow we were able to get it off with little damaage to it.
