Trunk only opens with keys, fuse is not blown

The title explains it the remote or button won't open and the fuse
is fine..when you press the button you can hear the click in the fusebox but nothing happens, wires are plugged in on both ends and do not appear to be frayed or cut...

Anyone have any ideas, the trunk lid is completly covered in sound dampening if that matters

Sounds like the popper itself in the decklid has gone bad. If the wires on both ends are in good shape and ur sure there's no way it got split in the middle, that's the most likely cause. How long has the decklid had the sound deadening? Cuz the added weight could possibly have added to the early demise of the popper

Well the little popper mechanism has been exposed to some retarded bass for like a year total and that's why it might have given out but I haven't checked the entire length of wire cause all the other wires that come off the same loom of wires is still working properly and it seems like at least 1 of those would also be experiencing other problems

If the popper doesn't "click" when you push the button either on the fob or in the cubby, i'd bet that's the problem. Try gettin a new mechanism from a junkyard and I'll bet it starts working again. The bass probably jarred it so much it just shorted itself out

Mine works from the FOB no problem, but when I push the button inside the car, I have to push it twice to get it to work. Is that normal?

No, that's not normal lol that button inside the car is probably shorted out somehow. It should always open on the first press.
