There is a fuse in the box under the hood, but it is most likely just the bulb: replacement # 3157, any autoparts store should carry them

The back bulb blinks, or just lights up b/c the headlights are on?

hmmm, you could check the fuse under the hood, but it probably needs a new bulb... Replace the bulb and see if that fixes it

Balts have a dual filament (one running lamp one break/turn) rear bulb like the Cavy, correct?

Probably, I know the headlights do, wouldn't surprise me if the tails do too

Thanks Reign... and yeah to the OP my left side started blinking fast the other day and I assumed it was a blown bulb but since I'm always messing with the wiring in my car I always hope to not **** something up. The signal filament of the front marker was blown, and a quick Wal-Mart trip was the remedy.

There are two filaments in the bulb itself. One lights up with the running lamps and is less bright, the other is your actual turn signal, which might be prone to blowing sooner if you have a pre-07 Cobalt because that filament is on at full intensity as a daytime running lamp.

^^ Just turn them off. Personally, I like 'em... I'm in the process of disabling the headlight DRL's on my Cavalier and switching them to the turn signal cause that looks cooler.

That's what I plan on doing with my Cobalt. When I had a Silverado I rewired the DRL's so that they ran on the dim filament in the bulb and then put amber bulbs in there. I was the only silverado around that didn't have one buned out DRL and one bright-as-the-sun DRL.

^^ Nice. I tried to go Audi R8 style with white LED's as DRL's (see thread: http://www.oznium.com/forum/topic16571) but they're not bright enough. Turn signals it is.
