Turn Signals Won't Shut-Off...
Ok, so my turnsignals won't shut off after the turn is completed. Its been doing this for a while and is really getting on my nerves. Yes, I have searched, although it is possible I missed it. Can someone please help me? I would like to fix this on my own and not have to take it to the dealership. Any help is greatly appreciated.

havent seen anyone do it on here...but i remember what everything looked like when i removed my steering wheel....its not too hard
its most likely the cam that is broken and you can get this at the dealer for a small price...probably just a few dollars if that...or maybe it just fell out and it rolling around in there
so in order to take your steering wheel off you need to remove your airbag which is not hard at all...just be careful not to mess with it with the battery hooked up..or you will get a face full of airbag...or take it to the dealer if your not comfortable working around these safety features....
soo disconnect the battery...wait a few mins to make sure everything is drained
just a precaution
now there are 2 pin holes one on each side of the steering wheel...stick something that will fit in those holes like a small screw driver
this will unlatch the airbag from the steering wheel
next disconnect the airbag
now you will see the internals of the steering wheel like the horn switch and some wires
remove them taking care to remember where everything goes
take a picture...makes everything easier to re assemble
now remove the nut the connects the steering wheel to the steering column and pull the steering wheel off
behind the steering wheel is a black circular wire loom that spins with the steering wheel...this connects the airbag and horn and cruise control feature and radio functions if applicable
right behind this nice circular contraption there are 2 white cams....make sure they are there...if one or two of them are broken or missing you have found your problem
or maybe there is an easier way to see if they are still there
pull up on the top panel right underneath of the instrument panel and you should be able to see if they are there or not
at least now you know how hard it is to replace them....lol
good luck

Mine when I first got the Cobalt had an issue where if I used the turn signal with the high beams on, it would either cause the lows to turn on with the highs (Left turn signal), or would kill all my lights (right turn signal).
Replacing the controls fixed it.

So...mine just broke coming home.
What is the remedy guys just by purchasing a new clockspring?
Mine when doing full turns now makes a clicking sound even when the signals are not engaged.
