URGENT: computer is jacked..
*** look at revised full version in post 10 ***
So, I jumped my quad off of the car today and apparently I jacked something up. I forgot to turn the car on before trying to jump it. The car starts up fine, but the power steering, traction control, check engine, and everything is on. No speedo and no dic readouts. The car drives, but only first gear and reverse (auto). It also stays running for a 10 seconds after cutting the ignition. Will it just reset it's self soon..?? This sucks..

Everything ran perfect before I jumped it. When I first tried to turn the key, everything came on but it didn't turn over. Maybe a fuse just blew? Which ones should I check? I'm a valet, and we alllllways have both cars running? Did it just randomly blow something out? WTF would blow and make all this **** happen? Will the code reader at Advance reset said issue if all fuses are good?

54k = no warranty
All underhood fuses that made sense to check ended up being fine. Turned it on and off a few times. It's now not staying on after killing the ignition. Gonna check the under dash fuses too to make sure. Even if the problem goes away it's self, I'm still going to flash it with a scanner tomorrow.. Any more help..??

So look, here's a full version (first post I did on my phone)..
I went to jump the quad off the car (like I have before). I attached everything and tried to start the quad. Nothing much happened so I checked the connections and turned the car on. The accessory stuff came on, but no ignition. Went back, checked the connections, tried again - we have power. Turned on the quad - we have power. Let both run for a minute. Car and quad seemed fine. Turned the car off. Everything still fine. Two-ish hours pass. Go back to the car, turn it on. I get an array of flashing lights on the dash. Power steering blinks on the DIC as well as getting the CEL, T/C off, etc lights. Most of the rest of the DIC doesn't read anymore either (MPG, outside temp, etc), and nor does the speedo. Car starts up fine, but has lots of lights on. I try to drive. Everything seems fine until I notice it's not shifting into 2nd gear (auto). The thing runs to like 5k RPM in 1st on the road until I can pull in somewhere and mess with it. I shut the car off, but it stays running for like 10 seconds with the key out of the ignition. The car finally shuts off. I wait a few minutes to try to let it reset it's self. Start it up - same thing. I drive it back to my girlfriends and park it. A few more hours pass, I try again. Same thing. Same lights and all that. Check all fuses that make sense to check - all are good. Say **** it. Go back inside for a few more hours. Come back out. Try again. Same issue. Drive home (only a few miles away), shut it off. Wait a minute. Same thing. Go into trunk and pull the negative connection. After the 10 minutes pass, I try again. No luck. Get pissed off and come inside to post this.
I have no ******* clue why this happened or what the issue even is anymore. The CEL for some reason seemed to've gone out, as well as the T/C off light, but the power steering one is still on, and the DIC ones are still off. I have absolutely no clue. The car turns on and does everything basically normal except the said issues. I'm also not getting basic things like the trunk pop and the doors automatically locking when shifting into gear. After the hard reset, still no luck. I tried everything I can do except to scan it in which I'm gonna do tomorrow morning. The only other thing after that is playing the waiting game. This is ridiculous.
ANY other suggestions..????

Did this to a company car, 05 cobalt. We tried to jump our fork truck with it. Car did the same thing, it was the BCM. The computer that is right behind your computer under the hood. App you can short that out if you don't jump another vehicle correctly. Sorry, I forgot how much it was, something like $300 I think for a new one

But the car is more or less running seemingly fine..?? I'd understand that if the car wasn't, but it is. Confused. I drive cars all day at my job. I know how to jump them. lol. Again, all standard single fuses that made sense are good. I didn't check the bigger ones really because they're solid colored and I didn't know how to..?? lol
Would this BCM thing also be a contributor as to why every once in a while my T/C off light will randomly come on and the thing will shift hard..??

EVER
Anyone who rides should know better than that.
Anyhoo now that is out of the way...sounds like you fried the BCM, not your PCM.
Pretty sure it controls everything that isn't the engine, including the trans. Getting a new one isn't TOO big of a deal...a dealer could easily hook it up, but it isn't labor intensive so it shouldn't cost much more than the unit.

It was a 2 hour job for us, in and out. The BCM acting up can give you all the problems you are describing, and it is the same thing our company balt did. Call you local dealer and see what it might run you

So, the car finally stopped working. The fuel pump stopped pumping and it's now sitting at the parts store. I went up to scan it and I got "tranny control system malfunction", "manufacturer malfunction", "lost communication", and "fuel pump". We'll just have it towed to the dealer and get a new BCM then..
Anyone have any other suggestions?
Hey, thanks.

I've done it before and this never happened. No one else seems to think the quad charging was much more than a coincidence in this thing blowing..
Best case scenario: they use my stock PCM and just reprogram it.. 150??
Worse case scenario: they need a new PCM and they program it.. 400??
Luckily we have known our dealer for 40 years, so they won't **** me unless necessary..

wow....my car started doing this last night, but mine is a manual so i didnt have the transmission problems, but it did say POWER STEERING in the dic, ses light on, and basically everything except the odometer and TPMS on the dic wont show up, as well as the speedo not working. Took it to the dealer today so i guess they"ll be replacing the BCM. mine just started doing this all of a sudden, so i dont know what could have caused mine to screw up
