Vibes in steering wheel

Hey all,
So here is the issue. When out driving on the highway between 100 kph - 130 kph i am getting a wicked vibe in the steering. It only happens between those speeds. If i go into a slight turn to the right or left it goes away more if the turn is to the right. If i release the wheel the car pulls to the left. Hell last night in a more then slight left turn on the highway at speed i released the wheel and the car followed the turn perfectly. So one I need an alignment for sure. But is there something else? Could it be a wheel bearing / hub? How can i check the hub to be sure? Wanna figure it out be fore I pay for an alignment and only have the same issues.

Thoughts

Mods are in the sig. Car has 145000 km on it

Shaking at speed is almost always tire related. Usually balance or a defective tire/bent wheel.

Check your control arm bushings, they can be worn and cause all sorts of pulling/alignment issues. These cars only have a front toe adjustment so there's little an alignment can do to correct a pull condition. It's almost always tires or worn components.

Checked out the cabs. Hard to see when installed took these pics.i had new Control arms with bushings installed about 3 years ago. So they should be OK but our roads are ****. Also saw the driver side front is missing the balance weights so gotta fix that. It should be the issue I hope.

That kinda looks like the bushing shifted in the control arm.

I'm going to have to check mine tomorrow and see if there is that gap when it's on the ground. I know on the jack it sits differently since the suspension isn't loaded.

But your vibration is most likely the missing weight.

Do the balance first and have them check the bushings when the wheels are off, but from that pic it looks blown. 3 years is a good interval for those bushings. I'd suggest the Moog problem solver ball joint style ones over another set of rubber stockers, they will hold up much better and perform better from day one.

Or if you are going to keep the car I recommend powells bushings, they are awesome and can take punishment. I had the same issue and it was due to the stick on wheel weights missing.

Those bushings are def slipping out of the control arm. Remove the control arm and replace them.

The control arms can only accept one maybe two bushing swaps before you loose tolerance to hold the rear CAB in, and need to replace the whole arm.

Fyi, go with some spherical CABs. Powells are good, but so are Moog spherical's (which I run).

Balance done and the vibes are gone. Got them to look at the cabs as well and they said the left one is starting to go.
