Want to see something nasty?

So my I have had my 04 Grand Prix GT1 for about a year now (cobalt-less for over a year ), and I have put about 17k miles on it. Lately it's been smelling a little...well, stale and musty, and I have felt kind of stuffed up w/ swolen glands, yada yada yada. The small dealership I bought it from said that it was 100% up to date on maintenance and service. Well, they must have not known that the newer GP's have cabin air filters in them, and this is what I found when I went to change it today:

Pretty nasty, eh? Moral of my post here is check your cabin air filter, and check it often! I believe the cobalt's filters are accessible from the cabin, behind the glove box. Just thought I'd share this with the css.net community, have a good 4th everyone!

Dayum...

I change mine every year. They get pretty dark by then with all the pollen and dust flying around.

About 113k, I change it every summer or every other summer. Who knows, it could be the original one for all I know! that's a really bad thought...I think I'm going to just assume that it wasn't the original so I don't puke
