Warranty work
I've been having some problems with rough idle on cold starts, So I've decide to make an appointment with my dealership tomorrow morning and I have a few questions to ask some people here before I go.
I talked to the guy and told him I think its a fuel problem since I've been getting the evap emission purge fault code on my car. I asked him if that would be covered under warranty and he said it should be but he wouldn't know until they found out the real problem.
Now for the questions, I painted my supercharger a while back and i was wondering would I get a lot of grief about my warranty since I have my supercharger painted? And when I bought the car it had an intake on it from the dealership. Will these two item cause my warranty to be no good on the powertrain?

If they try to void your warranty on that get a lawyer and let them know your getting one.
There is no way in hell your intake or a painted supercharger can cause that.
Most of the time that code is just a loose fuel cap (or faulty as in the o ring doesn't seal properly) or leak in a hose.

They can void part of your warranty if they can prove something you did to the car cause the problem. That only voids that part of your warranty the rest of it will still be good.
That said nothing you did would cause those issues. If they want to blame it on you then go to a different dealer.
If you find a good dealership then stick with them.

I can't see them getting away with saying just because you painted your super charger that the warrenty is voided if the one dealer dicks you around go to a different one if they do the same then contact the GM customer service, as for the intake that also should'nt void the warrenty

it goes up to 2k then it drops to 1k and back up to 1.5 k then back down to 1k and it does that for around 6 times and sounds like its going to die then it levels out and for the rest of the day its fine until it has another cold start.

Replace the EVAP Purge celinoid(sp?) and that will get rid of your problem i had the same problem when i filled her up. try turning the car off right after u fill it up watch what happens my car would stay running for about 3 seconds shutter then stall it seemed like. the prob is right on ur valve cover by ur oil cap little canister has a grey peice on it(grey triangle should be facing you), has sensors connected to it or wires w.e u wanna call it. its plastic sits on a metal bracket. 5 min fix 40 bucks at advance auto..lol

Well my dealership visit was a disaster....First they told me that the evap problem isn't covered and that only option that would really help me was to pay 70 bucks to get a diagnostics and they said that wouldn't even tell me for sure the exact problem.
