weird thud/pop sound from front end?

weird thud/pop sound from front end?
ive got a 2.2 ls stock 2008 cobalt no mods with about 15000 miles on it and there is a low toned thud/pop sound coming from the front end and can usually felt it a little while in the car but it mostly happens when im making a turn or coming to a stop. and it doesnt matter if im on a hill or not....any ideas? but its all under warrenty so it will be fixed "if" they find it ...but i wanted to know from you all first so i can focus on a certain part especially if its somethin serious ya know.

turns out my drive shaft was warped (my jaw dropped to the floor at the time). one of the salesmen tried to explain how it happened, and said this type of thing pops up sometimes and im not the only one? thank god the warrenty covered it all, but i've never heard about this type of problem?
