myne? Think you mean "mine" lol

You will be in the minority here--Cobalts have awful turning ability. I am pretty sure my 2nd and 3rd gen Camaros could turn sharper.

Just the way it was designed.

Cobalt Turning Circle is 33.5 ft

Honda Civic is 35.4 ft

Mini Cooper is 34.8 ft

Scion TC is 36.1 ft

Volkswagen GTI is 35.8 ft

All comprable to price range, all specs found on edmunds.com

We have the tightest by over a foot on all those cars. Even the Mini

Kia Rio is 32.7 ft. The rio is also only 166.9" long where as the cobalt is 180.5" long, thats where your difference comes in

Yeah man i agree, our turning radius is very shitty.I already curbed one of my rims trying to make a u-turn that i used to make regulary with my z24.Thats the only thing i miss about my z24,it had a tight turning radius.

I guess those other cars have an awful turning radius then compared to our pretty bad turning radius.

I don't believe edmunds.com because they list the same turning radius for all the cobalt models. According to Chevrolet.com the turning radius from curb to curb is:

Coupe/Sedan = 37.4ft
SS Supercharged = 40.7ft

for comparison a new base model 1500 Silverado regular cab, short bed is 39.7ft. Ouch! We do suck. I agree since I have had to make many three point turns.

LS and SS have the EXACT same turning radius.

And I'll go off EDMUNDS.com more so than people saying "well my car that was almost a foot shorter turned so much better than this"

The reason for edmunds rating vs. chevys is technique

That's what we get for having a front wheel drive. I agree though, I've had front wheel drive cars with a better turning radius.

Even if it was technique, why would chevrolet get a different number for the two models where Edmunds did not? I think edmunds got lazy and said "oh the ss/sc is just the coupe so they must be the same." However, the suspension setup is very different.

Yeah, That's a 7 foot difference between Edmunds numbers and GM Spec... I'm sure GM knows better.

The E-brake comes in handy alot in this winter season... that helps your turning radius alot.

Don't use it on dry or wet pavement, only snow and Ice... you'll be paying to have your cables replaced if you do.

I think anyone who has attempted to do a u-turn on a road with little to no shoulder is not impressed by the turning radius. If only we were RWD, then it wouldn't matter because a little throttle would scoot the ass around.

thats for the non ss models man...... our turning is garbage because the car has like these bump stops that stop any wheel rub from the 18's. F-ing thanks gm.....

i have owned a ls cobalt and now i have the ss/sc and they DO NOT have the same turning radius. the ss/sc is much wider. with the ls i could almost get in the first lane when doing a u turn and now with the ss/sc almost into the 3rd lane doing a turn

I also feel the turning radius sucks. I often have to reverse just to park between two cars....
