Why is my boost so high?
I have an 05 SS S/C. When I got it like 2 months back the guy told me it had a gm performance exhaust and K&N typhoon intake. When I looked through the stack of receipts I found out there was more to it. Stage two computer, stage two pulleys, 2 pass inter cooler end plate, thicker cv axles, and found a folder with papers for LSJ upgrade stage 3 and stage 3 PCM. I noticed cut wires on PCM though. Also found Dyno sheets that said stage 3 cobalt. Said 230 hp and 176.3 torque. I'm just frustrated because I have no idea what is actually done to it. I'm not very familiar with these cars. I know it has the 2 pass from the dual reservoirs though. I didn't really beat it till the other day. Looked like it was running 15 psi but when I really got on it it climbed all the way to 20 psi. I don't know if the gauge is off or? What do you guys think? I just don't want to over boost and blow it up.

The dual pass isn't having two coolant tanks.
Two coolant tanks is something called the Option B setup.
The dual pass is something you can't really see just by looking at the car, it's the endplate to the intake manifold.
That dyno sounds very low, being a Stage 3 and only 230, so that's weird.

my stock boost was hitting 17 psi at once point after 3-4 times opening her up , my cat light came on, needless to say i put a free flow in after now its back down to the stock 13 psi its supposed to push

That's a gmr s3 pulley.
I'm a full gmr s3 car and have never seen boost levels anywhere near that.
Clogged cat, and colder temps are the factor for sure.
Those look like the gmr s3 nitrous jumper wires, but they arent hooked up to the PCM (OBVI).
A gmr s3 car with the M62 and full exhaust will be closer to 250whp while running 93 octane.
The 230hp 176tq dyno could have been a stock pull.
