won't start hot
I just got the engine replaced. It had zero miles. Probably has about 100 now. It starts up fine when the engine isn't hot. But when the engine is hot it cranks but won't start. I can hear the fuel pump. And it'll backfire while I try to start it. Any ideas?

Anyone have any ideas what it may be? I'm going into Chevy in about a week and they're doing 2 recalls for me. Both of the are dealing with ignition. One is the electrical aspect of ignition and then the other is under the steering column and the keys and such. Do you think the ignition wiring could be a reason why it won't want to start? Once it starts it runs great so I have no idea what it could be. A/F is around 14.2 so I know I'm getting enough fuel. No misfires and it idles fine. Idk what to do.

The ignition could be it, but if it didn't do it before engine replace I doubt that's it. U do know what to do cause we told u, take it back. If they don't do it right they fix for free

my blazer has that problem and the mechanic told me its for the fuel pressure sending unit/control module deal on the pump. however, i get a code for it.
it'll start cold every first try, but once i drove it for a while it takes a few cranks.

And to all the people saying to take it back, my friend is a mechanic for BMW and he's the one that did the replacement. He did a swap in my old civic and that ran fine. I know he knows what he's doing. We checked everything and everything is hooked up correctly. I'm taking it to chevy asap to get the ignition recalls done. I know I'm getting fuel and spark. Also my a/f ratio varies from 10.2 when I'm cruising and stays at that for a while then goes to about 14.6 and then will go back down to around 10.2.
And I do have a cel but when I go to auto zone or advanced auto or use my code reader none if them pick anything up. And my cel flashes every now and then and then stays on. So if it isn't ignition problem would I have to try to replace fuel pressure regulator next or what?
