Yes!!! Car Won't Start!!

That clicking sound is your starter not turning over. Has nothing to do with your electrical system or ignition coil or gas or anything like that. Replace the starter and you will be fine

Try getting the car into the dealer and get the computer reflashed or updated because i thought i heard a problem with cold starts in cold climates with our cars. I took mine in back in Sept 2005 and they updated something with the computer. I haven't had any starting problems *knock on wood* yet and it's 10 outside right now

I think its the starter too... I hope the can find it, I don't want to have to deal with them saying they couldn't find it.
I had a cracked baffle in my exhaust, it sounded like UBER-RICE... they said it was normal, It took like 3 days of just letting it sit in their shop before they agreed on the problem...
F GM...

I've posted on this before. Did the security light start to flash before the car died (usually while driving it last)? Did the A/C die(while the car was running)? Fan still runs but compressor shuts down.
I took mine in after having it for 3 months. It wouldn't start a couple of times. I would let it sit and it would magically start when I tried again. When it wasn't starting, it would just click. Then I noticed that the security light would start to blink the last time I drive it before cutting out. Passive security is supposed to be off.
Took it in and the stealership told me it was a defective battery and replaced it for me. Said the computer and electical systems checked out. Funny thing is, it still happens. My cure. Always lock it before walking away, even if it's in the garage. Before getting in, unlock it with the remote (whether it's locked or not). So long as I do that, the security light stays off and the engine doesn't cut out.
I tell the dealer and they're eyes glaze over. It can't be a computer/software problem. Frankly, I'm no mechanic. I can't validate what I say, except that so long as I perform the lock/unlock ritual, the car works fine.

i know mines going to mess up now because im saying this, but i just wanna note that i love my 06 ss/sc. under 2k on it and it runs excellent. only thing that puzzles me is that clicky sound after i shut it off. does it for like just a minute.

Anytime it just clicks, its the starter, either its not getting the juice (bad connection) or its fried and will need to be replaced, you usually have a couple sessions of driving with symptoms before it full out quites,

I talked to the customer service guy (very nice and helpful) and they called my dealership and found out:
Bad Starter
among other things, and as such I think I am getting my warrenty extended for free...
Does anyone know anything about the 9 Compenents Warrenty? It includes Engine, trans, axel, breaks, electrical... and more...
Thanks,
Rich

As for me I have had ZERO problems with my Cobalt. Only had it a month though, just hit 1500 miles.

Yea... Yea...
I am getting my car back today...
They had to replace the Starter and Starte Relay, along with an Axel. The Axel was a seperate problem, had a tear in the boot, they tried to replace the boot and couldn't order it, so I get a whole new axel.
Yea... got I cannot wait till 4pm to leave work and get her.
