ZZP, D/P issues

SO i went to install the ZZP downpipe.

I am matching it to the LSJ Manifold and Megan exhaust.

I first broke a stud off of the manfold. I think I strip the threads on the stud not the manifold.

Also the top nut and stud don't pull the D/P flush with the manifold.

Will GM have new screw in studs and bolts at the parts counter?

What end should I install first? DP to exhaust or DP to manifold.

God guess i need help fast. This leak is getting to me and really need it fixed this weekend.

I have no CEL or anything on as of yet, Car sounds terribly loud and leaky. HELPPPPPP

ALso part numbers for the studs and nuts would be great.

umm more than likely you dont need gm screws at least thats what i did i just went to an auto parts store, its gonna save you some money...

Now as for which side you should connect first it doesnt really matter, i tightened up my downpipe to manifold first because that was the biggest issue then i unhooked the exhaust of the back so it has leeway to move and then just bolted it all up......

when you say you broke a stud off the manifold, do you mean a manifold to head stud, or a downpipe to manifold stud?

the manifold only gets torqued to about 10 ft lbs. which means minmal force applied when tightening. when you put the dp on, connnect the manifold side first.

i'm talking the studs that screw into the manifold that the DP actually is bolted to. I believe they are screwed in with an E8 or E10 torx. Can these be bought at an auto parts store or are they gm only?

It took a lot force to get those off so I'm assuming it takes a lot to get them on.

Maybe I'm just over torqueing. I need new studs anyway.

Referring to this thread https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...ighlight=honed

I need the 3 studs and nuts for the manifold. Dealership only or auto parts store?

UPdate

I broke about 3 GM studs for the manifold to D/P connection. Had a friend help me and we finally get it to work properly.

Car is loud and mean as hell and I'm still trying to break the cat in so nothing to strenuous.

OF course a CEL came on after a long drive today.

I have an LS

What codes should I expect for 02 low efficiency or whatever the normal code is?

Just making sure something else isn't wrong.

What a long Saturday.

I have the LSJ manifold on. It's quite a bit of a difference even though I haven't stomped on it. Lots of pull through mid RPm range
