Listing your mods would help. What are you doing when it bogs? WOT from 2-3 thousand?

If you've got it at WOT its because your rpms are to low. Downshift.

I don't know how these work, but I'd say maybe something to do with your intake manifold controls?

Does it ever open up? What if you start in 2nd?

I am having the same issue with mine i first though it was me screwing up shifting. But since i have done a K&N air filter mod i have not noticed it any more. I think it probally has to do with small restricted intake. just a guess but i did notice an improvement in bog. I have also heard that the stage two kit gets rid of it to.

Guys. Not 100% sure on this but it happens to me too. Right after I installed the S2 Kit. I'm thinkin it's a too much fuel not enough air issue. GM's tune makes the car rich especially with the S2 kit and when you're at a low RPM there's not enough air to mix properly.

The S2 tune is only rich up top, down low its fine as far as A/F goes.

I have this saaaaaaaaame problem! youthink that its an airflow problem? I installed cold air hoping that it would help the problem(it was happening before then) and now it is still the same, except that I now smell heavy gas fumes. what the duece? my car is also completely stock for except for the cold air.

what was the ultimate effect of the intake manifold gasket failing? and how do i know if that might be my problem as well?

Trust me just take it into the dealer and have them take a look at it. if you let it go longer it will be coming out of your pocket. my car was doing the same thing. it hesitate in 1st and 2nd. then the CEL light came on saying that there was a problem with the Mass Airflow Sensor. So i called up my buddy and he said that one of the gaskets prolly failed. so i took it in and thats what it was.

Hey,

Just so you modded peoples know it's not your mods, my wife has a completly stock LT automatic that is having the same issue.

We took it in 2-3 months ago and they couldn't find anything wrong with it...They flashed the computer and sent us on our way. The issue seemed to go away for a few weeks, but has been getting pretty bad over the past couple of week.

We will be taking it in again soon, I'll let you all know what happens

This also happens to me on occasion, but I'm not concerned.

There's no cel lit, so it can't be an intake manifiold gasket.

A damaged intake manifold gasket would certainly throw a cel ...

Actually when my CEL light went on i Scanned it and it came up as the MAF sensor. i thought that it was a vacuum leak. But i was wrong i took it into the Dealer and they found out that the intake manifold gasket failed.
I was having the same boging issue. But after they changed the Gasket I havent had problem since.

OK i don't exactly know what bogging means but I've been having this issue which seems to be caused by my supercharger... When i floor it around 2krpm (i know its low) the supercharger kicks in a little and then around 2.5krpm it hesitates alittle...feels kinda like it is out of breath and needs a break and then starts up stronger..... Is that what bogging is?? or am i talking about something totally different?

Good question. I'd love to know what everybody means by bogging too. I'm having a problem where I'll be between 2000-3000 rpms and floor it. I have this problem where it feels like the fuel flow was interrupted for a split second and then the car fixes itself before I have time to do anything. I don't have CELs or warning messages on the DIC. My mods are in my sig.

the only time most people, including myself experience this is when you have an intake and it gets wet. It draws moisture onto the MAF... and then crazy **** happens. I don't know what the technical reasons are, but it cuts power.

but you say you're stock, so... CASH IN ON THAT WARRANTY!

I think all of our superchargers do this between 2 and 3k rpm... Its just the supercharger building up more power, so it hesitates but i'm almost positive its normal.

Well, try this for size. I have the S2 kit, K&N, & custom exhaust no cat. Never had bogging issues until I hit a bump, 1ft into the air i went, afterwards, my cruise no longer works, and I get bogging in 1st, 2nd, & 3rd below 1500 rpms, and 4th below 2500rpms. What can this be?

"Bogging" is when there is to much load on the motor for it to accelerate smoothly. A good example would be if you were going up a steap incline in 5th gear at 45 miles per hour. The engine would make a distinct sound. The condition which is being discribed is "stutter." A vacuum leak is a common cause of a stutter

Vacuum leak? Like somewhere in the intake? or where would you look for this leak?

dealer called.. mech said the bogging/pulsing is normal for ss

basically, when i shift UP, and release the clutch, and press the gas, it has a 3x pause/stutter. then it takes off.. going to attempt fuel filter this weekend.. anyone have this and then fix it somehow?

thanks

[edit] forgot to add, I asked the guy about a k1 air filter and was told he has seen alot of cobalts come in with bad air sensors. they were being blown from these?? is he blowing smoke up my ****..
