Because the brakes aren't causing people to wreck or threatening anyones life.. just squeaking and fast wear on some.. Not a recall issue, just an annoyance.

my power stearing went out a while ago. i had it replaced under warrenty no problems since. The only problems i had with the steering when it was out though was going around 90 degree turns that sucked...

Received my letter about the cat yesterday... I've had my power steering go out 4 times on the freeway usually when going around curves. The DIC shows POWER STEERING, I just turn off the car then back on. It resets itself, although it pisses ya off when it does it in a roundabout.

I got that today myself. Come to think of it, my steering does seem rough sometimes, but only when I'm sitting still and it rarely happens.

I received two letters yesterday......one for the 06 SS/SC and one for the 07 SS/SC. Both cats have already been replaced. The 06 actually shut down on the highway. Pulled the trouble code and sent it to the dealer. Stated everything was ok. Kept setting codes related to the cat so I just replaced it with Vibrant combo.

Let me just put it this way...

2WD Donuts in the sand + forgetting to disengage your front locker = crack down the middle of your power steering box and all of the fluid drains right outta the system.

Drove it 3 hours home and around town for 3 weeks without any power steering with 33x12.5 tires on 15x10 rims with 5.25" offset (they stick out further giving you less mechanical advantage while turning).

at least you got 100k on your powertrain. 05 and 06's got shafted with the 5/60k.

As long as the power steering motor is the same as the stock one I don't see why.

You can add 2010 to that list. I noticed mine pulling pretty hard one way or the other when i was going straight down a level street. it went away after a few seconds but very annoying regardless.
