"We are working with our suppliers to obtain the parts to correct this condition as quickly as possible. As parts become available, we will send you another letter asking you to take your vehicle to your GM dealer to have the electric power steering motor repaired."

Where did you buy it from? If you bout it off of someone instead of a dealer I would think it would be best to got to the dealership and ask questions.

so, I submitted $610.98 for reimbursement for replacing the steering column for this issue. Well about a month later and two-three phone calls I got a check in the mail today for that exact amount
Lesson learned, dont buy GM LOL

Bump.
I received my initial letter dated April 2010; it read that they would send me another letter when parts are available (as noted above).
I've not received the second letter stating that the parts "are in". Anyone have any news?

Received first letter in April, no second one, however power steering went out on a trip to pick up a TC yesterday, so I'm going to call the dealer near me and see if they can get me in asap. BTW my '06 SC power steering went out at 41.3k miles.
