I vote we do whatever the admin will let us do, and don't do whatever he busts out the ban stick on.

Although the mods do speak for him in most cases, whose call is it anyway?

my question is who is forcing those who dont like the politics threads to join them?

i personally hate the threads about gf issues, BOV on superchargers, and what exhaust should i get that doesnt sound rice. however, i dont bitch if other people post them. i just dont look into them. I think its pointless to ban a certain topic off a board (illegal activities excluded).

true, but 2:1 says we lock the political threads so lets move forward and do it.

Not quite true. You need to review the Supremecy Clause. The one that states the Federal Government can and shall over rule any State Law that infringes on our rights as Citizens. Hence no segregation. These were State Laws that were deemed Un-Constitutional by the Federal Government. Just a little FYI.

arguements are the meat and potatoes of this Male Soap-Opera we call CobaltSS.net.

We don't all have to like each other here. And we shouldn't have to drink the Kool-aid.

If I think someone's an idiot, it's nice to see what others have to say about it.

I have mixed emotions about it.... some people just get so jacked up on their POV that it becomes ugly.... then again, you get to see how/what people really think (that's scary).
I looked thru some of those threads and chose not to get involved.... it seems there is nothing educational there, just mudslinging.... but, WHERE DO YOU DRAW THE LINE????

...Well I'm not suggesting we ban politics from the internet just from our car forum, if you want to express your views you could go to one of the thousands of political forums out there and do it. It's just much easier that way, and will get rid of a lot of arguments. I'm on a few forums that have a no politics/religion policy and I think it makes the forums better.

i agree, because every one of the political threads that gets started turns into a pissing match between people who think they know everything about everything.

The political arguments will just leak into other threads and get those locked as well, so the threads shouldn't be banned.

they did it on a local forum it really depends i guess. I vote no cause we should be able to talk about it but if jonnyb says no more talk then what can you do.

best idea is to make a subforum

government and politics will never be eliminated from conversation, unless we really are turning into china. what are you going to do, make it mandatory for people to not talk about governement at all, thats the only way you will ever eliminate this kind of thing
