havent torn it apart yet...my father in law called a friend of his and he said he would rebuild it for free....idk what went out, but im just gonna rebuild the ENTIRE bottom end, i want a 0 mile rebuilt block...
oil pump WAS primed though, i spun it by hand a couple of time's, unhooked my fuel and free spun it with the starter a couple of time's....it showed oil pressure but idk for real :dunno:

but i have 2 motor's....im gonna rebuild the og motor back to oe spec's, and the 2nd one oh yeah....ive already tracked down some 88-92 integra piston's, on this y7 bottom end it should bump compression to 12.1, throw on some nitrous and ill be back in business....either way it goes im gonna rebuild both, one for daily driving (back up motor lol) and the other for the track (its gonna be a slow process ) but ive talked to the wife and she's given me the go ahead to build the **** out of this new motor i bought....bored, stroked, the whole nine yard's...its gonna be a 12 second beast when im done....

im gonna hang with yall when its done

No biggie if ya can't, it usually only takes like 15 minutes tops to do 3 dyno pulls.

its why Pushrod SBC V8s kick ass... $350 and you gain 50whp

and why DOHC modular Fords and cams suck: $1400 for 50whp, lol

from the looks of things, HPtuners is about to move way ahead of Trifecta, I mean, it was to be expected... MOST tuners use HPtuners on other platforms

Basically all the stuff Vince has released for a layer file to the HPT guys, plus some extra.

Now HPT guys can run HPT only have the same tunability as Trifecta customers and then some.
No more of them having to have the Trifecta tune.
This also means they are going to be way ahead of us in WHP now they have access to fuel tables, the way boost is modulated, etc.
Since they can tune for more power while having the same tables plus some with HPT only

Kind of glad I didn't get the Trifecta HPT tune now for $375, when I can just buy HPT now and have it tuned remotely by BYT.

^^^Thus why you don't make your software (Trifecta) available to the enemy (HPT)

With all that stuff they just released it will, unless he can come out with more stuff that HPT hasn't touched that is needed for the LNF.

yeah but now HPtuners can tune for E85... Vince isn't the 1st person to ever tune a car with E85, lol

and boosted cars REALLY love E85... I know on the GTPs used to a cam/bolt-on/pullied car was a 300-310whp car, those guys are putting down 350whp now with the SAME mods on E85

Evo guys saw their numbers jump up with E85, so did Sti guys, etc... higher octane gas=more power

its basically cheap unleaded racing fuel

Theres a pump in Hoover last time I looked, hint hint Josh.

All the E85 station but one are in Birmingham in the State.

Heck if Josh flashed E85 and ran it stock, he would put down more power then you Adam with your pump tune and mods, according to Vinces dyno results on his stock HHR SS.

there was a station here that once had an "E85 coming soon" sign........that was about 2 years ago, lol

the sign has been long gone... just not enough flex fuel vehicles on the road... and its BS... ALL cars should be running on it... and we SHOULDN'T be paying more than $2/gallon for it

they claim farmers can't meet the demand, yet they are LIMITING the number of farmers they will allow to supply them with corn... why? Oil Companies, cars should have been running off corn 50 years ago

in fact we should be running E100

Let's say I do the e85 tune. I'm no where near a gas station but have 1/4 a tank and got a long way to get back to e85. Do I just fill up with regular and switch tune?

Not sure. Ask Vince or in the E-85 thread.

You guys do know that Chevycobaltss3 is from Kentucky and is a HPT tuner (a good one to, he just never had the TF layer kit for tuning).
He usually hits up the Nashville meets.
If he lives in Bowling Green area thats only 3 hrs away.
