08inBama, to bad we have a chance of rain all the way up till Thursday, but at least the weekend will be nice again.
Josh, I might drive down this next weekend in the HHR SS and give you the down pipe.

Wow. Looks like I missed a lot in the past week. Been busy with school. I just read the last few pages.
Sucks that I missed the meet on Mar. 19.
Trackmasters is 10 minutes away from me
Droid and Droid 2 can be rooted (equivalent to iPhone jailbreak). Droid 2 is as easy to root as clicking an executable. I've owned both and rooted both of them without issue.
Jet-Pep has E85 (another 10 minutes away from where I live )
Address: 7850 US-72 W, Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758
Saw two black Cobalt SS last week. At least I think it was 2. Both in Madison and were black, but one look like an 05 (judging from the SS badge being in the middle of the door) and I think the other was an SS/TC.
Other than that, my car is pissing me off! My driver side rear wheel is making some odd noise. Not sure if it's the hub or the wheel itslef. I just had all 4 of my rims straightened due to being warped after having them powder coated black

Adam and Josh you guys need to go read this whole thread when you get a chance. Page 6 is where it starts taking off with dyno graphs, etc.
BNR Stage 2 GT28 Just Arrived! - Saturn Sky Forums: Saturn Sky Forum
This is a BNR GT2871 turbo upgrade on a stock Solstice by DDM Works earlier this year.
Remember the Solstice has more drive train loss, so technically this would be higher on our fwd cars (when tuned properly).
My curve looks nothing like there's, dare I say mine looks more like a K04 curve, except it doesn't drop off nearly as much from 5.2k to 7k rpms.

I'm more curious about the turbo they are running... says stage III but even then the guy says its a "hybrid" turbo...
also why does BNR only have Stage I and II listed on their site(stage III still in testing?)?
i'd like to see dynos of all 3 stages, in fact, i'm curious to see stage I compared to Stage II
I honestly expect those numbers to be closer than most people think

Because originally there was going to be a stage I, II, III.
The original stage II was scrapped becasue Brian @ BNR said he didn't see any significant gain in using GT2860 with bigger housing.
So stage I stayed the stock replacement GT2860 and stage II became the GT2871. (the guy over there didn't keep up with the changes made to the different stages)
There are pictures of the different wheel comparisons used in the 2 different stages. The GT2871 wheels are HUGE compared to stock
I think numbers will be similar up to a certain rpm range, then the 2860 will drop off and the 2871 will still be making power, of course the 2860 will spool up close to stock though.
I did ALOT of research on the 2860 vs. 2871, even the BNR 2860 & 2871 models for the Mazda and Genesis vehicles (they have the same bolt on turob upgrade from him).
In almost every case it was recommended to go with the 2871 because you only loose a couple hundred rpm spool up compared to the 2860 but gain a whole lot of flow up top with the 2871.

We are having another meet April 24th in Birmingham at a drift event.
Could the noise be a warped rotor? or possible caliper sticking?
Did you pay out of your pocket to have the wheels straightened?

Well I'm a terrible driver or I don't have the G-tech set up right.
first time 0-60 in 7.5 secs quarter 15 secs (factory is 6.5 and 14.5) 215 hp
2nd time I played with the rpm settings becasue right now its trying to use 2nd gear starting at 2k rpm.
I did even worse.
So getting this damn thing set up is going to be a pain in the ass I can tell.

I got this, all I need to buy is a 30mm socket and E10 torx socket and some time.
I have all the other tools needed.
Hell if I can pull a AWD trans and engine out of the van (and re-install) by myself, and turbo charge it, I can do this. I'm use to working on my car solo anyways.
To be honest the subframe will be the hardest part from what I can tell from the GM book. I'll just make sure to use a white marker to mark it up so I get it back in the exact same position.
I only have 11k miles on the HHR SS, so it should still come apart realtively rust free.

You could have rode down with me to the Spec clutch meet if you didn't have a car.
We are having another meet April 24th in Birmingham at a drift event.
Could the noise be a warped rotor? or possible caliper sticking?
