damn... oh Jake, lol... loudest Cobalt in the state, that is for sure...still lost to the turbo sporting a 240lb passenger, lol
I got a dealership on the hunt for a GTO for me as well, the one I bought my car from... I got pissed at them beyond belief when they kept my car for 4 months but had to go there yesterday to get my extended warranty cancelled and prorated... they have been trying to get me to buy another car for the past 2 days, tried their damnest to get me in a new Camaro, even offered me a 2SS for $29,000(sticker was $33,000 and some change)... and even though I could put that on 72 months and pay roughly the same for the GTO(with it being on 4 years), i'd RATHER have a LS2 Goat... so I told them to find me a LS2 GTO for less than $20,000 and we'll talk... that'll be their way of redeeming themselves to me

still haven't grown on me... i've always liked the GTOs a hell of a lot, plus you don't see them on every corner now... as far as speed.... a drivers race, literally... with parts for the LS2 being MUCH cheaper than the LS3... a header, cai, tuned Ls2 on DRs is going low 12s... and unlike a 5.0, $700 worth of a cam, valve springs, and push rods and its well into the 11s... 5.0s may have the edge stock for stock, lets throw $2000 in them and line them back up... and people have ran 11s in 5.0s with bolt-ons, they done it with LS2 GTOs as well... however, both had suspension mods as well as weight cuts... the fact is, for the average owner who daily drives their cars, that is unrealistic for both... now low 12s out of bolt-ons and a kick ass tune? realistic for both... the LS2 just always has the single cam on its side for the next step and the fact the LS V8s take to nitrous like a hoodrat to crack... Mustangs love boost, boost is expensive... LS V8s love nitrous, your whole setup will be less than $1500 for a single stage street car
also guys, put this up for sale:

if anyone is interested let me know, the Bama deal applies to it as well

Well a twist in plans for the van.
My brother decided he liked the little summit van in PA I bought when he went to pick it up for me to have shipped down here.
He told me that the clear coat on top and some paint on the van was peeling, which means new paint job if I used it or the body parts to fix my current one or swapped parts over to it.
For me investing another $3-4k in a paint job isn't worth keeping the van, when I can invest that in another project.
So now we (me and brother) are trading his 92 Thunderbird LX 5.0 HO straight up for the van and its being shipped down instead of the van on Friday.
Its not in 100% perfect shape but my next project was going to be V8 any ways, it does already have a cowl induction hood and shift kit in it. Black on Black leather, power everything and automatic.
I have a 351W sitting at my friends house in Pulaski, TN. so I'm going to look at which option is better building a 331 stroker or dropping in a rebuilt 351W.
Next up, pulling the forged engine and stuff out of the van for a rolling shell. A guy in Birmingham said he might be interested in buying the shell even damaged as long as the trans and drivetrain was still there.

Well I installed the front rotated mount today I bought in OTTP's group buy (I actually bought stage 2 but wanted to try just the front rotated first).
BIG difference, the HHR SS feels more rigid overall.
I didn't get any more vibrations in my car that some people talk about when they installed rotated mounts.
I did a second gear pull which usually results in spinning the tires out for a good bit then getting traction along with massive torque steer.
Well now the tire spin is minimal and the torque steer is like 1/4 of what it was before installing the mounts, almost non existent.
At this point I highly recommend the OTTP stage 1 Rotated mount, plus you can pick one up dirt cheap on OTTP site right now for like $80 for stage 1 and $155 for Stage 2.
I got stage 2 in case I start hitting the drag strip more, plus its cheaper then the stage 1 was before the sale.
One of the best and noticeable mods I've done besides my actual tune.
