I'm guessing it is a older 5.0 mustang? Because newer ones are 6 speed (manual) and don't think you will beat him even when you boost your hatch if your only going to do the numbers you posted earlier. If it is a older one you should be able to pull buses on him unless it is built / cammed or sprayed.

because a new GT has never lost a race, never mind the night were at steele a modded one ran a best of 12.7s or anything, lol... I know 5.0 guys are excited about being able to hit 11s with bolt-ons and slicks... Camaro guys were too.... the year was 2000
i'll put it this way give a LS3 camaro just 3.73s, never mind shorty headers(which the 5.0 has from the factory)... and line them up... we'll concede stock for stock, however, right there with a Camaro just in going from 3.42s to 3.73s, you've already gained on the GT without touching the engine, etc... at the end of the day, we're always a cam swap away from 75whp

celebrated being halfway through our apprenticeship tonight with some classmates at the bar... of course, sit next to a yankee talking **** about the state of alabama, jefferson county going broke, etc on his cell phone... after he hung up... outspoken Adam told him exactly HOW to get out of the state... and he said nothing
and I successfully earned the nickname Honeybadger, cause I don't give a ****

been working some more OT in the last few weeks and I got a 2/hr raise about a month ago(always nice) so with Xmas out of the way, about to start on the car again...
but mostly cosmetic for now... performance stuff will come with the tax return... hopefully about $2500-3000 worth this year(lots of writeoffs)
here is what i'm planning on in the next few weeks:
was going to paint the wheels, but want to be able to go back stock so:
2010-2011 Camaro SS Replica Wheel Rim 20X9 in Black at Pinnacle Camaro
$750 shipped
20% tint on the sides and backs: $150
Smoked Tail Lights, Side Lamps, Reverse Markers, Fog Lights: $50 cheap enough
Painted Brembos(Red) with GM Victory Red Paint: $24/can, cheap enough
Victory Red/Black Engine Cover from GMParts Direct: $200... though i'm getting a black insert with Red SS that will be where it says "V8" on this one
don't want the strut bar, lol
Custom Black w/ Red Bow tie fuse box cover: $50
Custom Oil Cap, Radiator Cap, Oil Plug, etc.: $100
Red/Black Bow ties as pictured here, Free(well I got some stock Camaro emblems CHEAP on a forum, like $20 shipped cheap for OEM badges) nice having a friend who is the lead designer at a vehicle graphics shop, lol:
already have those waiting to put them on the car
so a little over a grand but i'll be happy with the look of the car and it'll be time to get down to business figure with the cold weather might as well get the look of the car where I want it before racing season when the performance mod bug will bite... plan on doing the meet thing this Spring/Summer and its more fun with them to show up with a car that looks bad ass as opposed to being fast as hell... being fast as hell is fun for track days and not that I don't love that aspect of a car, I'm going to keep this car for a while so its getting attention in every aspect... plus with the Cobalt MOST of the appearance mods end up coming off as trying to make it a damn import
brother is building a shop at his house in the spring with a lift so we'll have a place to do headers, etc... i'm planning on buying an engine cradle for his shop since i'll be using the lift a lot
if you guys ever want any vinyl done, whether it be badges, evo mod, advertisement on a work vehicle, etc., let me know... it won't be free but I can probably get you a damn good deal

i'm going to get with Vince myself and just get the updated cable... my brother is about to finally tune his TA, a friend of mine is about to get his C5 Ls1 Vette tuned, and another one is considering tuning his LS6 C5 zo6
finally starting to get a nice little group of car guys in the area... just need warmer weather which is why i'm in no hurry for the performance parts, i'll have my tax return before Spring
also considering going Black/Blue instead of Black/Red with the theme... everyone does black/red... I can get the badges in black/blue vinyl, he has plenty of vinyl and it takes him about 5 minutes a badge for that look
I think it'll look even more bad ass black with blue calipers, etc...

close to what mine will look like, though the lighting in that picture is kind of weird, and the grey is actually darker

yea, normal s/c maintenance(i.e. changing the oil) is every 30,000 miles...
I know the M90 on my GTP required two bottles of these, but the M62 only needs 3.4ozs, so one bottle will be fine:
GM Performance 12345982 - GM Performance Supercharger Oil - Overview - SummitRacing.com
you can easily do it yourself with a turkey baster... just suck out all the old blower oil with the baster and I must warn you its smells like a skunk that got ran over on the side of the highway, TERRIBLE smell... after its all removed, just pour in the new oil and replace the cap... pretty simple... but this is why I wouldn't buy a high mileage GTP, very few people actually maintenance the blowers and they generally lock up over 50k miles because of it
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...l-pics-100504/
as for the people saying Eaton claims it'll last the life of the car.............right
in reality, it takes $15 and a little bit of time.... why risk it? and people like yourself are proving their claim isn't exactly true.... I wouldn't risk it
seeing as how almost every other blower recommends blower oil changes at every 30,000 miles.......I think i'd just stick with the pattern
