anyone buying **** for their car with tax money?
i'm getting new tires, an AEM intake, and Injen Upper Charge piping...
going to get a better tune as well, would like to just go ahead and invest in HPtuners suite because with the extra credits is universal to any vehicle and by far the best tuning software... but I don't know jack **** about it, lol

Still plan on:
IC
C/H side ICP
Catless DP
Turbo wheel upgrade
Tune over my GM tune
Trying to get all this done before the meet to have Wicked tune it, as usual, waiting on money and time is getting short

i'm trying to get all my **** on before the meet as well... I will definitely have the IC piping and intake as i'm just going to go ahead and order them with my next check... but the tires will have to wait until I get my money from the IRS
HOPEFULLY before the 20th, i'm going to step up from the 225/40 to 245/40s, so hopefully i'll be able to hook a little better... if I don't get tires, we'll have to run from a 40 and i'll have to hope I get traction still, lol

I was going to ask why you(HHR) was going with cold side IC piping but I see you are replacing the IC... the lower isn't restrictive at all and its a pain in the ass to replace... the only actual gains you'll see are in the upper piping................but seeing as how the whole front of your car will be off anyway, then I too would go ahead and replace both... make sure you use t-bolt clamps from what i've seen, lol...

Those tires with my new rims should free up roughly 9-10 lbs of rotating mass per wheel. The stock craptacular Michelin tires on the HHR SS weigh in at 26 lbs/ea.

those are the ones I am looking at as well... don't buy them from tirerack, I know where you can get them about $50 cheaper shipped... they are $600 shipped through tirerack and won't be available until 2/12

Sweet, hit me up in a PM and let me know, every place I have checked is out of stock of the 245/40's which is an uncommon size, but have 225/45's which is common size, go figure.

I'm in the Shoals, about 30 minutes from you... the only other LNF Cobalt on here, HHRSouth is in Athens with his LNF HHR
you know the guy with the black one from Decatur(or he had a 52 tag which is Morgan County)? if so, ask him how my tail lights looked on 72, lol

as far as hanging out with car clubs, no... I used to but all the guys I used to race with have either moved on from racing or don't like me because I don't drive a V8 anymore, lol....
last summer I was meeting up/racing with a couple of guys in Florence and they go to Huntsville a lot but I never made it out there with them...
i'm sure i'll make it to Athens this summer if HHR has some people he meets up with, i'm always for meeting new car people
and i've edited my tax return mod list:
tires
charge piping
AEM elbow(not the complete intake) from Summit
Catback
I know the catback won't gain any power, but it'll at least sound a little better, the LNF is way too quite stock... I mean I don't want Honda buzz loud, but it'd be nice for the person next to me to atleast know I'm @ WOT
oh and I still say we should have a meet at that F1 race or one day at the Tail of the Dragon(Deal's Gap)... and yeah, more of you need to go to Nashville on the 20th

well i've got a fix for the wheel problem for the TC Cobalt SS... don't like the options we have in the aftermarket... decided to try something I haven't seen before, getting them dipped in chrome, but its going to take 6-7 weeks to get the wheels back when I send them off, so I'll be stuck driving my kick ass 4-cylinder S10 work truck, lol
got a good price on them, $188 per wheel at Wheel Fix-It in Huntsville, my brother says it'll look like a little Zo6, lol... I think they will look good, our wheel looks great, and if it had of been chrome from the factory, i'd never wanted to replace it...
