i'm going to Memphis with my friend to party on Beale street

he is from there and moved here about 3 years ago... we go there at least once a year just to hang out at all the various clubs on it... plus he goes home to visit his dad and sister...

his sister is fun as **** and always makes sure we all have a good time, plus her best friend is ridiculously hot so its always a great time

really... too bad I DON'T HAVE MY CAR

lol

I would look real cool pulling up in a rental Malibu, though it COULD have worked out awesome, I had forgot all about that meet

***edit***

so I just had Adam vs. GM round "i've lost count"

went by my dealer today and asked what in the **** was going on... they told me of the 9 parts for my transmission they have on order, 3 have come in... 3 have shipping dates, and 3 have not even been "spec'd"... whatever that is suppose to mean, I guess it means, they don't know when they are going to ship

basically I told them i'm not making payments on a rental car, I just paid my 2nd payment on my car and its spending its summer behind a ******* dealership broke

I explained to my dealership I was NOT MAD at them... they are doing all they can do to get the parts, its just ridiculous GM wants to out-source all this **** overseas and then can't get parts for their damn cars... the guy told me they had 3 cars back there that had been in for over 4 weeks with no end in sight... they simply can not get the parts for them

so I called corporate, and bitched to them some more, it got my brakes replaced long ago, they probably know me on a 1st name basis now, lol.... some lady told me she was going to call around, call the part supplier, find out what the hold up was and is supposed to get back to me

I think in my ranting I told them if I wanted a foreign car that broke all the time, i'd have bought a toyota, lol

drove GM my whole life, but that '11 Mustang GT is looking like a great option right about now... as much as I want to later upgrade to a new Camaro SS

Heck the 2011 Mustang V6 runs a 13.7 1/4 mile and 0-60 in 5.1 secs stock according to Motor Trend and gets 29(manual)/31(auto). Thats pretty impressive imo. If I was car shopping now instead of 09 I probably would have snagged me one.
Oh yeah you can also upgrade the V6 suspension, to the GT's suspension.

i'd rather have a '05-'09 GT than a '11 V6, stock for stock they may be close, mod for mod, that 3-valve 4.6L would put a hurting on that 3.7L... but I wouldn't want either of those, I mean, I hate mustangs anyway being that i'm a GM guy, if I was going to buy one, it'd most definitely have to be the meanest one on the lot

one of the main guys at GM is supposed to be calling me Monday, because of the complaint I filed Friday... I'll let you all know how that goes

I hate to always bitch, but the two things I've bitched about, uhh... I think its justified

1.) the rear brakes wearing out ENTIRELY too quickly, due to bad hardware

2.) the fact my car is going on over 4 weeks in the shop and they STILL don't have an estimate on when the parts will ship

The only thing that keeps me buying new GM, is the GM employee pricing, otherwise I would buy a different brand for sure. I've owned 4 brand new GM vehicles over the last 15 yrs and every single one of them have a lot of different issues that I had to take back to the dealer to be fixed. I want to actually drive my car, not let it sit at the dealer to be fixed, even if its free.

As far as brakes I'm just going to upgrade the rotors and pads myself and lub the sliding rear caliper bolts really good.

I've already done the replace the rotors 3 times on the last new GM vehicle I had, I finally put aftermarket units on myself and never had a poblem for the next 4 years I owned it.

By the way I got my TWM Short throw shifter/base bushings installed Friday, shifter feels alot more solid now.
