Why not use E85 (they have pumps down your way), get bigger injectors and turn the boost up some more.

where i live it i have to drive over 70-80 miles to the closest e85 pump...yea ive seen people run 12.5-13.1 on the a/f i just want to be a little safer with it which is why im going for mid 11's on the a/f im going to a 600cc injector min. so ill have some room to go past the 325whp...if im not satisified with that i will switch the turbo over to a different one as my current turbo only supports 350whp

yes I have... and mine pull 2.0 60's, lol
seriously though, I liked the way Paul's tires looked and at one point, he and I were waiting on the same tire... it was on backorder and we both went separate routes... I can't remember what he ended up going with, I went with the Faulken 452s...
like Paul at 1st I thought they sucked, after about 500 miles, they started grabbing nicely
I will tell you josh, you're not going to get more than 15,000-20,000 miles out of a set of tires if you drive aggressively, you might as well work that $600 cost into your yearly budget
coming from RWD V8s, I did that long ago, lol
and that is rotating accordingly... of course i'm the guy that toasted 2nd gear at 24,000 miles, so we ALL KNOW I drive aggressively, lol
now if your car sits in a ******* dealership for 8 ******* WEEKS you might get more than a year out of your tires, so **** you GM and my dealership

I think next time, i'm going to try these:
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...w=false&cs=245
i've always had good luck with Nittos, ran them on my Z/28 and GTP... they must be new, because that is where I bought my tire, but if I had of seen those, I definitely would have bought them instead
not hating on the tire I have now, but I had already planned on trying something different, even if its a $600 mistake... you can always go back to what worked
plus the 245s give the car a much meaner stance from behind than the 225s.... you know, even though its FWD, lol

as far as performance, when driven hard: they don't last long and they don't actually perform
but they are still expensive as **** and i've always said you could just about buy 3 sets of cheap tires before you could some expensive as michelins
so in the end, those 3 sets + a little boot is going to last A LOT longer than a set of michelins, if tire life is all you are going for
me personally, tire life is one of the last things I look at in buying a tire... because i'm going to spin off that rating anyway...

and 08 hit the nail on the head...I could have 2 and 1/2 sets of nittos before I bought another set of these at the price I get them...they came on the car so I'm going to ride them out then invos...
