no kidding,the last one I heard hardly no one showed up.I see more cobalts driving around in one day than the meets.I didnt show up because i had to take my kid to his mom in lancaster SC that weekend.I think all the cobalts in the area should meet once a month somewere?

I couldnt meet this weekend because my DAMN car is still in the body shop.The clear wont come in untill MON.

from reading on here and I posted a video of the sound it was making and people pretty much pointed me in the direction of that. it basically sounds like my timing chain is loose. so it makes sense to me.

That SUCKS! I changed my timing chain on my old toyota celica gts years ago and was a 4 hour job but I had to replace the tensioner also. The car had 120,000 miles on it though.

The chain had chewed a hole through the side of the water jacket and I had to tig weld it back.

damn that sucks. from what I read its about an hour to two hour job. prolly closer to two for my non mechanic ass lol

yea not sure why I was thinking stretched chain... when I was getting gas I was like "tensioner." Is the jetta atleast the mighty 1.8 turbo?

the last meet sucked! 15 people said they would show up, 5 did. although october 26 theres a meet at Tail of the Dragon in Deals Gap, NC. 75 people going. everyone is coming friday, running the dragon and hanging out saturday and leaving sunday.

I found out the code my truck threw the other day is not the o2 sensor I thought, it was a P0320. yay! guess I'll have to start with the cheaper stuff first. code is Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Circuit Malfunction. I love searching this stuff, you think you find a good answer and than you find someone else saying its probably this or that haha. Wish I was rich, just tow it to a shop and be like "fix it."

best way to learn, I plan to fix my stuff myself. This is the first time in awhile I had to fix something though and not just add mods, got spoiled with reliability there for awhile.
