Got a new Job! Gonna be working for Moen...you know "Buy it for looks...buy it for life"...gonna be one of the few CNC Set Up operators there starting off at 19 an hour then bumping up after 'training" which is basically just familiarization with the machines they have on hand.
Thus starts my post-military life officially as a civilian working as a civilian. Unless the gov't calls me to do my old job as a civilian for more money...then i'll go back (as a civilian).
Making money means now i can finally get back to my build!!

it was a noticeable difference, but i wouldn't go as far to say a "big" difference....the low end torque is lacking but at 3700 and up it's pretty substantial to that of the 2.2 manifold. One of the only reasons i actually changed manifolds is because the 06/07 2.4 manifold is more solidly constructed than the 2.2 (the 2.2 manifold being basically 2 pieces heat joined together) which will hold better when i get started on the main build (engine/turbo) so the manifold will hold better boost when the time comes. and i figured while i'm waiting on the parts to do the build and that he manifold had good numbers anyway over stock so why wait on something i can use now. But yeah..there are advantages to the manifold over stock.

Nope, they are in Sanford. And nope...you have to have at least 4+ years of CNC or a college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Machine Tool Technology. I stumbled upon the job and got it. I don't know if they are looking for anybody else considering the company is downsizing with manning and increasing production with less people. I was lucky to get this position.

October 19th at the Crab Tree Mall and we will go from there. we will have to meet at like 10 am because the track opens at noon and they will let us run from 1-4pm...

Per Facelesschaos's suggestion I am posting this in the Carolina Cobalt thread.
I am obviously a SRT-4 owner, but have been friends with some SC guys before and just got to the Goldsboro area.
I have seen a few nice Cobalts rolling around here, not sure if they are SC'd or TC'd, but wanted to introduce myself and say hi. If you see me out, don't feel shy to flash your lights, wave, or talk to me. I am a fan of the cobalt.
Anyway, I look forward to getting to meet some of you guys/gals that are on base at Seymour Johnson and around the Goldsboro area.
Send me a PM or something if you want to try and meet up.
Scott
And no, I am not your typical "the SRT-4 wasn't racing" SRT-4 owner.
