actually, to keep good customer relations, i do warranty the work i've do, just not the actual alarm. installers usually remember the cars they've worked on, so if something goes wrong with what they've done, they'll usually fix it for free. you just don't have any paper work to prove where you got the alarm installed...

for almost anything down here that is illegal there is a shop for it. (south fl that is) i have a friend with a 99 stang and they bypassed the dvd player in his car. whe ni had 1 of my older cars they put illegal tint on it and gave me a warranty. of course that was done in hialeah. so either way there is always someone to install it. and i work for the court system and i have yet to hear of remote start being illegal on a standard. its a bitch to do but it can be done.
