No... not all n00bs are treated this way... just those that don't act retarded! Keep on the good side of everyone and you'll be fine!

And hey tattoo's and piercings are just as important too!

I give everyone a chance until I see otherwise as everyone seems too. I am still a track n00b myself, the last rockingham was my first 1/4 and before that was teh 1/8th at piedmont. I stalled on my first time(still had a great time for stall, restart and go haha). My car let me know it was not going to be easy racing on the strip, just won't let 2nd gear go in most of the time for some reason haha. So my times for my mods and such bite, having a system hurts times alittle. So fear not while lined up and getting ready to go down the strip. Best thing to do is watch alittle, check out how the lights/tree works and than just go and do what ya can, no one is going to bash ya for a bad time, if they do they need to step off and go somewhere else(we are not pros). I found out I am not even remotely nervous at the track, no fast hearbeat, no shaky legs and such, just calm. Strange too cause when and if I ran on the street I would get all shaky from it but than again, no risk at losing you license on the track which is where i prefer to keep it now.

oh trust me, i wanna race. its just i got in a horrible car wreck back in june, and mentally i'm not ready for it. i know it may sound dumb, but i guess going under a flat bed lumber truck about the size of a car wrecker isnt fun. the whole a-pillar was about 3inches from my head. i'll start a post and do pics.

I haven't been to the track in this car in 2 years..... so I'll be a little rusty as well!

But I can give you some tips that were givin to me...

Launch at idle and work up to 2k from there...

Drop tire pressure to 26lbs...

And it's better to spin than wheel hop...

How much is this? I couldnt come to the last one since my bro's bday was that weekend and we were all anebriated (sp?) even down to my mom. So how much is it to run? or spectate?

I wanna meet this ever elusive fellow food lion co worker.
