Hello folks.....I should be moving out that way from the Chicago area in the next 2 months or so and figured I'd pop in here and say what's up. I'll probably end up in the Tucson area. My mother in law is retiring and moving out there and the wife and kids and I are gonna follow.
Anybody know of some good apartments or some cheap ones that are in a good area that we could do something short term until I get a job and back on our feet?

Something in retail management. Right now i manage a cell phone store but we do not hAve l,locations in Arizona. I could do other types of management. I'm not opposed to switching fields. How far is Sierra Vista from Tucson? I might be.coming out there closer to June 1 to start the job hunting before the wife and kids come at the end of June.

So I talked to ZZP today... seems that Bates is the ones who built Ryan's auto in ZZP's record holding cobalt, not ZZP's company whom they use to build there transmissions... I don't know what to do at this point blah, I wish there was a reasonably priced cobalt that I could just switch everything over to.

Depends on what you want. You want a car that still gets good gas mileage or does gas mileage not matter you want fwd, rwd, awd or you want something new newish or old? you want 4 doors for more ****** or what? lol you have a ton of options man i would look into like a 02 camaro SS the price on those arent bad or SS/TC. A evo may give you a few problems if you dont find a clean one and those are hard to come by without paying an arm and leg. Also the 04-06 CTS-Vs arent that pricey and can take a beating.

Cool. Yeah its tough trying to find a job cross country when you work retail lol. My mother in law and wife dont quite understand that. I have someone I can stay with for maximum a month to try and get out there ahead of the fam and find a job and an apartment before she comes. Appreciate you reaching out and showing an interest. 45 min drive aint bad, Is there more balts in the Sierra Vista area or mostly up by Phoenix?

i would try this before giving up. would explain some of the problems. hel maybe even try the expensive ass GM fluid from a dealership.

The bottle has to say Dexron 6.If it says dex/merc,thats only good up to dexron 5.Dexron 6 is a very very specific fluid for newer GM's and the transmission,if calling for Dex 6,will hate dexron 1 2 3 4 5.Explains why your burning the fluid up so quick as well.Flush it and fill with Dex 6 and your problems should go away.

I'd like something with decent gas mileage, but let's be realistic Fast > MPG's. lol
I don't care what platform to be honest. Looking into a S?TC right now, but again it's money I don't have... and I can't have a house and a car payment so that's not gonna work... Might just get it rebuilt again and go back to 91 oct and 8PSI just to make sure it don't blow up again at this point and wait like 5 years till I can afford something that won't suck.

I don't have 1st 2nd or reverse at all... pretty sure it's a little late for this, although I appreciate the help...
Might be parting the car out here soon if anyone's interested in anything.
