I wanted a bigger one with a dedicated number pad for school, and a co-worker happened to be selling his for a down payment on a Macbook. This one works great for web browsing, Youtube, MS Office, basic games, record keeping, etc. Not really ideal for video encoding or serious gaming (although I did install WoW on it back in the day and it actually ran fairly well...lol). For reference I believe the "Windows Experience Index" is 3.1 or so, but I can double check that tonight.

Damn... I have the same exact laptop. I wouldn't think you would be able to get that much for it. I bought a NewER one over a year ago because that thing was so damn slow. Battery on it died on me too. Now it sits in my closet collecting dust...

It's plenty fast for what I used it for. The original hard drive is garbage and 512 RAM is way too low. Once those were replaced it became a very useful computer for browsing, homework, etc. I had thought my battery died once, but it was actually the charger, hence the reason I have a spare. Replaced with 10-dollar E-bay cord and no issues.
