ya its not huge. just a 12 in. i was looking for an enclosed box. id prefer to do a custom box that sits flush to the trunk. not so much just a square box. I do need an amp
upon further investigation. All i really need is the sub and amp. speakers are great. just have too much bass going to them.
Maybe a 4 channel amp for the speakers to get rid of the bass. lol

Hello Steve:
Wow, you have a lot of things to do.
1. You do need a 4 channel amplifier to boost the db loudness of the mids and highs to have equilibrium sound (mids, highs and bass)
2. It would be highly recommended to change all the speakers cuz the factory ones may blow if you put the 4 ch amp.
3. a good amp for that sub would be the alpine mrp-m500 which gives you plenty of watts 500W RMS. more than enough to push your JL
4. and finally install everything including the radio, speakers and the amplifiers.
costs:
4 Kenwood, Alpine or Swiss speakers would run you $100-$189
4 ch Alpine or Fosgate amplifier costs around $200
4 gauge amp kit for 5 channels would run you around $100
you many need also a dash kit, harness, antenna adapter that would run you around $60 to $100, we need to see the vehicle to determine that.
Labor:
I cannot really provide you with an exact estimate on the labor, I MUST see the vehicle to give you an exact estimate. but we are very reasonable in price. Please stop by and bring the vehicle to give you an accurate estimate.
The Box:
what you are looking for is a custom box. or even a custom trunk. It is called false floor. this is not cheap it could cost you between $450 to $1000. It may envolve fabricating the box from fiberglass and wood and carpet and a lot of work. My recommendation to you is to buy a square box for now and get all the above completed. Get the sound going and later worry about the box as a PHASE 2.
Thank you Steve for contacting us, we hope the above recommendations help you make the best decision. I could tell you this though, If you do the above, Your system would sound Excellent!
Good luck..
