August Meet: Willow Springs

so far this a just a feeler for either
wednesday august 5th
thursday august 6th
or friday august 7th

my birthday is august 7th mellissas is the 6ths and marques is the 13th iirc
ive wanted to runn WS for a long time so lets do it
ill be updating this thread with the more information i get
im not sure on Exact prices yet but i can tell you it isnt going to be a cheap meet
but itll be worth every penny of it so hopefully you guys can get the day off from
work (which ever day it is) and be willing to shell out some money for legal track racing

we would be running the 2.5 mile track (the biggest track)

well weekday is significantly cheaper
and i wanna do the 2.5 mile track cuz ******* 5th gear entry sounds SOOO fun

but in all honesty its so far away id rather have more people come out if it mean doing a different track course

my only deal is it's going to be hot(not smart to race with a/c on or windows down and they probably won't let u do it any way) and on top of the $100 to race, we also need to buy a helmet? is there any other things we will need/have to do prior to racing?

well i figure that if they dont let you do it at even the 1/8 mi. strip, chances are that they wont let u at a road course...mostly cuz of possible debris i guess lol i dunno...but its bad for milage and wind resistance too lmfao like that matters that much...but buck racing topless=ftw haha

I go every month or two. PM me if anyone is up to go whenever. If you've never been out before I'd recommend Streets or Horse Thief mile circuits over big willow. Pricing for streets and HTM is anything from 135 to 160 a day. Maybe about $20-$30 more for big willow. There is also a $10 entrance fee per person. Speed Ventures is also a little moe enjoyable because they allow passengers.

Other costs to consider.... My TC goes through about 3/4 tank of gas in a day on top of actually getting to the track. Make sure all fluids are up to snuff. Also make sure your brakes, tires and alignment up to snuff. You'll need a helmet too, most clubs will have them for rent for about $20 or so.

More specifically, it's 135 to 160 per driver. (so if 2 people share one car, you would still get charged twice). On top of that, it's $10 admission per person onto the grounds. This includes drivers, spectators, everyone.
